My friends, before I retire this Tuesday evening, I just wanted to talk to you.
I work full time — almost thirty years now — helping clients deal with various problems. And when I get home, I help take care of my 95-year-old mother. I’m thankful for the help I have. I’m thankful for the job God has allowed me to do. They say if you love your job, you’ll never work a day in your life. And I believe I’m one of the most incredibly blessed men there is.
But I still get stressed. I still get overwhelmed.
So the question I want to pose to you tonight is this — what do you do when you’re stressed or overwhelmed? What do I do?
As a believer, you and I have the Word of God to go to. Romans 12:2 tells us we have the opportunity to walk in a renewed mind. And if my mind is stayed upon God, He’s going to give me that peace that passes all understanding.
One of the things I’m also learning is that patience is a requirement for believers to fully trust in God. Because I can’t fix anything. The only thing I can do is cooperate with God. He doesn’t need my help.
My friend, whatever you’re going through today — whether you’re a caregiver, or you’re dealing with financial, emotional, spiritual, relationship, or even addiction issues — there is hope for you. Through God and through a community of believers that really want to see the very best for you.
You don’t have to carry it alone.
Let me ask you a couple of questions — and I want you to really sit with these:
Do you have peace today in your life? Do you feel overwhelmed? Do you feel like God’s not moving the way you think He should? Have you fully surrendered your life to Him? Are you trusting in Him? Do you have the peace of God today? And how do you handle frustration, aggravation, and irritation in those difficult moments throughout the day?
My friend, drop a comment below — or text me or call me at (937) 242-8520. I’d love to talk to you and minister to you.
You know, at almost 62, yeah — at some point I’d like to maybe generate some income from this. But that’s not the ultimate goal. I just want to invest in people. One life at a time. Commit to spending time with that person and helping them see things through the eyes of God.
I hope that makes sense. Have a great night, my friend. We’ll talk again tomorrow.
