I’m Tired of Running from God: What to Do When You’re Ready to Come Back

I’m Tired of Running from God: What to Do When You’re Ready to Come Back

If you’re ready to come home, this is for you.

It’s late. You’re tired—physically, mentally, spiritually.
You’re sitting alone in your apartment, wondering if anyone still cares.
You’ve tried to outrun the guilt, numb the pain, and fake the faith… but nothing works anymore.

You might be wondering:

  • “Can God still love me after all I’ve done?”

  • “Is it too late to come back to Him?”

  • “How do I even start over after everything I’ve messed up?”

If that’s you, friend—you’re not alone.
You are seen. You are not disqualified.
And most of all… you are still wanted.

📖 A Story Like Yours: Mia’s Moment of Grace

Her name was Mia.
She hadn’t prayed in over a year. Once a worship leader, now barely holding her life together in a studio apartment after an affair, a divorce, and a DUI.

Lonely. Ashamed. Invisible.

She typed into Google:

  • “Can God forgive adultery?”

  • “Is it too late to be a Christian again?”

  • “How do I come back to God when I feel nothing?”

She clicked a post. She read every word. And she cried the kind of tears that come from deep places—tears that mean, “I want to come back… I just didn’t know if I could.”

That night, Mia whispered a broken prayer:

“God… if You still want me, I’m here.”

And that was the beginning of her return.
She wasn’t fixed overnight. But she was found. And loved. And never alone again.

🙏 What Does the Bible Say About Coming Back?

“He healeth the broken in heart, and bindeth up their wounds.”
—Psalm 147:3 (KJV)

In Hebrew, “broken” is shābar—shattered, crushed.
“Heal” is rapha—to restore, mend, and make whole.

God doesn’t reject the shattered. He restores them.
And He wants to do the same for you.

🛠️ 3 Steps You Can Take Right Now

1. Be Honest With God

You don’t need a polished prayer.
Just say: “God, I’m tired. I’m sorry. I want to come home.”

2. Let Go of the Lie That You’re Too Far Gone

There is no sin bigger than His grace.
No distance too far that His love can’t reach.

3. Take One Small Step

That might mean reaching out for prayer, deleting a number, pouring something down the drain, or just choosing not to give up today.

You don’t need a perfect comeback. You just need a real one.
