Does God Care About My Problems? Understanding Matthew 7:11
Reflections on the Heart of the Father and His Goodness
This morning, as I reflect on God’s goodness, I’m reminded of His mercy, His love, and His faithfulness toward me and His children. I thank Him for all He is doing in my life and for making me into the man He has called me to be.
When I think about my gratitude—which I call my praise list—I’m grateful for my relationship with Him. More than ever, I see how much we need God’s mercy, goodness, and love so we can share them with others and reflect Him in every area of life.
I know God wants us to be honest with Him. I also know that I can walk in a renewed mind today, because if I don’t, I’ll affect not only myself but also those around me. So I ask myself: What would God do in this situation? What would His Son do? Looking at life from that angle puts everything into perspective.
What Matthew 7:11 Says About God’s Heart
Matthew 7:11 (KJV)
“If ye then, being evil, know how to give good gifts unto your children, how much more shall your Father which is in heaven give good things to them that ask him?”
What a powerful truth this is: if earthly parents know how to give good gifts, how much more will our Heavenly Father give to His children who ask?
Why God Wants to Be Our Source
Being a Christian doesn’t exempt us from struggles, but from the Father’s heart, God longs to help us through them. People are not our ultimate source. God may work through people, but He alone is the one we can rely on completely.
Living With Gratitude and a Renewed Mind
Gratitude changes our perspective. When I walk in a renewed mind, I not only protect my own heart but also impact those around me. Choosing to reflect God’s mercy and love daily helps me live in His peace and share His goodness with others.
Prayer
Father, thank You for being my source. Thank You for reminding me that You care about my problems and that You are always ready to give good things when I ask. Help me walk with a renewed mind today and reflect Your love in every situation. Amen.
