I know that God is good.
That is a bold statement for me to make.
Have you ever proclaimed that, that God is good?
I know that the title of this blog post is, why does my life seem harder than others.
I honestly don’t feel that way personally. But I know that there were other people that might feel like this.
I was watching TV today and I heard somebody talking about a 32-year-old mother of five kids, and she found out that she has stage III cancer. That is something that would be difficult for any of us to deal with.
Sometimes life is not fair. Sometimes life can be overwhelming. But we can overcome anything that may come our way, so a personal relationship with Jesus Christ.
You look at life in a way where you feel like there’s no hope. Sometimes life is overwhelming.
Many people are overwhelmed today, because they are having issues at home, they’re having issues on the job, family issues and even health issues.
I want to focus mainly on these three things that
Physical Health – God doesn’t want us bound and held back by disease.
Emotional Health – God wants our emotions to be in check. We will never be successful if we are led by our feelings. Our feelings can get us in trouble.
Many times a lot of the feelings you hear that people have our anger, frustration, overwhelmed, perplexed – which is another word for overwhelmed. One of the things I’ve learned we should never make a decision when were overwhelmed. We are not in our right state, of mind if were overwhelmed.
Spiritual Health – 3 John 2, it says beloved, I wish above all things that thou may us prosper and be in health even as thy soul prospers. That’s three parts.
That’s this one example of Scripture from God’s word. When God speaks to us, he speaks to us a lot of times through his word. We also need to spend time with him every day.
Matthew 6 – 33 – says, but seek ye first the kingdom of God and his righteousness and all these things shall be added on to us. What things is he talking about?
The me ask you this question. In your daily life, what are most of your conversations with other people. You look at the people that we associate with on a daily basis. We spent time at work and our family and friends.
Our family can consist of, if for married, or we have a significant other, girlfriend or boyfriend. It could be a brother or sister or mother or dad. These relationships stand out to me the most.
What I want to ask you also is, do the people you hang around, do they bring you value or do they help you in your daily life. Are they turned you down or are they building you up?
I know sometimes people will go over and above to please somebody, but this is not God’s best for you or I.
I’m sure that you know somebody that’s always in turmoil because of their relationships that they’re involved in. You might have a lady friend that’s married to a husband that does not treat her properly. But she’s doing her very best to stay in that relationship. There may even be some abuse going on, but that’s unacceptable. That is not God’s best.
You may be the one I’m speaking to. How do you get your value? You cannot afford to get it from another individual, but your value has to come from God.
I realized that God wants us to be examples in be a light to those that he places in our life.
I’m reminded in the book of first John chapter 4 verse seven, the word of God says beloved let us love one another for love is that God; and everyone that loveth is born of God and know with God
Verse eight says he that loveth not know if not God for God is love.
I want to share another Scripture with you in first John four, verse 20 and 21, it says that the man say, I love God, and hated his brother, he is a liar: for he that loveth not his brother whom he has seen, how can he love God whom he hath not seen?
Verse 21, says in this commandment have we from him that he who love of God love his brother also.
To me that is says such tremendous wisdom from the word of God.
Sometimes we don’t know how to love. Sometimes we’ve had experiences in our life that are not fair. I totally understand that. I have had some experiences in my life that are not fair at all.
However, I can choose to either have a crowbar in my hand as I walk through life, or I can have the keys to the answer and the answers are found in the word of God.
The Bible says that we are to love our enemies, the Bible says were two bless our enemies and speak well of them, to the ones that despitefully use us.
If we don’t forgive somebody, do you know that God is unable to forgive us. Think about that this for a second. I want to share a Scripture to you from Mark 11.
Mark 11 says in verse 24, therefore I say unto you, what things soever you desire, when you pray, believe that you receive them, and ye shall have them. That’s talking about the things that your believing God for. The word of God does tell us that you and I can ask God for the things that we desire in that we need.
In verse 25, it says and when you stand praying, forgive, if you have ought against any: that your father also which is in heaven may forgive you your trespasses.
Verse 26 says, but if you do not forgive, neither will your father which is in heaven forgive you your trespasses.
I realize that you may have experienced some very traumatic events in your life. I know Joyce Meyer talks about how her father sexually abused her all her teenage years. Her mother knew what was going on and and do anything about it. When her parents got older, God told her to bring them to her city and by then the house and take care of them. That takes a lot of faith and a lot of compassion and a lot of love, that only God can give us.
You and I have been given the greatest love it all. And that’s the love of God.
When ask you a question and I really want you to think about it.
When you examine your life, and your honest with yourself in God, is there anything that is hindering you from walking forward with God?
You may have had some deep hurts, physical or sexual abuse, you may have been one who was singled out in life and you were attacked in various ways. I think God is speaking to you through this blog post. There is something he really wants you to know and understand.
Listen to what the Holy Spirit is saying to you. It was not your fault and there’s nothing you did to cause the pain that was infected on you.
I feel like I’m speaking the somebody who feels like their on a treadmill and it’s going around and round and round and it seems like there is no relief.
I want you to know that the word of God says, who the sun sets free is free indeed today.
Do you want to be free today? Are you tired of the turmoil that you’re experiencing in your life?
