Life can be difficult, but God is good.
As I’m writing this early on Saturday morning, August 22nd, 2026, I’m just thinking about how good God is. My life has transformed in a way that isn’t comfortable — but I know that God is good.
Being a long-term caregiver for my mom, on top of working a full-time job, has taken a turn I never really thought would happen. My mom has been in rehab and long-term care since around June 1st. Every other time she’s had a health setback, she’s always bounced back. This time seems different.
God Loves You Right Where You’re At
I want to encourage the caregivers — and anyone walking through a season of life that just isn’t comfortable. I want you to know that God loves you right where you’re at, and God cares. If you’re caring for an aging parent, I’ve shared more of my own journey in trusting God when your parent is in a nursing home.
The financial situation and the house have taken a different turn too. At this point, the facility takes most of her check except for $75. But I know that God is faithful. I’m looking for new resources and ways — with the experience I’ve gained over the years — to invest in other people, and maybe bring in some extra income at the same time.
It’s Not About What Others Invest in Me — It’s What I Can Invest in Others
I’m 62 now, and within the next five to seven years I’d like to be retired. But with my work experience and my ministry experience, I really believe that at the end of the day, it’s not about what others can invest in me — it’s about what I can invest in other people.
If you’re going through a hard season right now, I pray for you, and I ask God to bless you. And I want to pray with you.
A Prayer for You Today
Father, I ask You to bless this person reading this. God, help them in a mighty way — whatever they’re going through, physically, emotionally, or spiritually. I pray for their loved ones and for the hurt they may be carrying today. You’re the ultimate God, and I love You for that. I praise You for supplying every need according to Your riches in glory by Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:19). I bless this Saturday and the days to come. In Jesus’ name, amen.
My friend, if you ever need prayer, reach out to me. Call or text 937-732-5868, or email frankwyatt@gmail.com. I’d be glad to pray with you and believe with you.
Have a very blessed Saturday, and we’ll talk soon.
