Proverbs 1 impressions.
As I begin to read Proverbs 1, I am reminded about how much wisdom there is in Proverbs to deal with any problem that we might experience in life.
One thing for sure is that we can’t avoid problems in life, but we can know how to respond to every problem that we might face.
The first step that we must practice in our lives if we want to become wise is to trust and reverence the Lord. Reverencing the Lord means to honor and to respect the Lord.
God doesn’t want us to be afraid of him, but he wants us to come to him with an open and honest heart.
I’m reminded how many people don’t want to be taught. We never get to a place in our life where we don’t need to be taught.
The word of God says that if we’re not willing to be taught, we are like a fool.
When I read verses 10 through 14 of Proverbs 1, I was just reminded about how sometimes people come into our lives to try to lead us astray.
Wrapping up my thoughts on Proverbs 1, I am just reminded that if we failed to walk in the wisdom of God then we have problems that could have been avoided only if we would listen to the wisdom that comes from God’s word.
