My journey to seek the truth of Gods word

When I say I love God what am I saying?

When I say I love God, I need to ask myself do I love others?

How do I treat others?

I am saying I honor you God for who you are and what you stand for.

I want to be more like you.

I know you are love and I want to be that today in my life.

  • Today I will be kind.
  • I will do something nice for someone else.
  • I will look at things from others’ perspective.
  • I will spend time with you listening.
  • I will walk in forgiveness.

For me to do this I must humble myself.

 1 Peter 5:6

  1. Humble yourselves therefore under the mighty hand of God, that he may exalt you in due time:

When we humble ourselves under the mighty hand of God, we are admitting that Gods way is the only way.

Doing this is a choice that we are making, and we can admit where we have failed ourselves, but we can get back on track.

Admitting: confessing, acknowledging, disclosing, declaring, stating, conceding, divulging, own up.

When we admit something we are speaking the truth.

John 15:5

  1. I am the vine, ye are the branches: He that abideth in me, and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit: for without me ye can do nothing.

Jesus is the vine-We are the branches

Today I will not do the following.

  • I will not have unrealistic expectations from others.
  • “Unrealistic expectations” “prices at unrealistic high levels” impossible. not capable of occurring or being accomplished or dealt with. impractical.

God is the only one who will not let us down.

When others let us down, we can become the following.

  • Hurt
  • Anger
  • Sad
  • Disappointed
  • Frustrated

Disappointed “the unhappiness or discouragement that results when your hopes or expectations have not been satisfied, or someone or something that is not as good as you had hoped or expected:

Hurt: If you are hurt, you are upset because of something that someone has said or done.

We should never expect something from someone that only God can fulfill.

Have you ever heard the phrase hurting people hurt others.

So many of us are dealing with things that no one else knows about.

Besides the person dealing with issues themselves, they are concerned about the people in their life.

We can become free today if we would simply trust God with everything.

If we need counsel from someone that is ok.

However, we should make sure the person is giving us good sound Godly counsel.

Counsel: advice, guidance, direction, warning, guidelines, suggestions.

Proverbs 3:5-6

  1. Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding.
  2. In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.

There are things we don’t understand that might be going on and we have to rely on God and his word and his spirit to lead and guide us.

We may not know what to do, but we must trust in God and his word.

What are some examples from the word of God?

  • The woman with the issue of blood
  • The Leper
  • Jarius Daughter
  • The Mountain-Jesus Spoke
