How to hear from God. All of us want to hear the voice of God. How can you know if God is speaking to you? This is a question that many believers have. A lot of it has to do with the person being able to trust the voice that their hearing is the voice of God. True relationship God comes in the form of spending time with God. How much time do we spend with God every day? Sometimes the system manner of slowing down and focusing on God and being quiet and letting God speak to us in a way that we are going to understand.
What does it mean to speak to God — and to hear Him communicate back? This is a question that continues to be discussed and debated in religious and secular circles alike, especially in an era in which atheists and skeptics are increasingly vocal about their view that “listening to God” is problematic or, at the least, nonsensical.

Mark Batterson, pastor of National Community Church in Washington, D.C., and author of “Whisper: How to Hear the Voice of God,” recently explained this dynamic during an appearance on PureFlix.com’s “Pure Talk,” revealing how he believes God communicates with humans.
“There is a God who speaks and the truth is He’s speaking all the time … but I think God most often speaks in a whisper,” Batterson said. “1 Kings 19 calls it ‘that still, small voice’ and I have a theory. My theory is this: Yes, God has an outside voice — He can make it thunder. But He usually speaks in a whisper.”

Would you like to hear God’s voice on a regular basis? That has been a deep-seated desire since I found true relationship with Him.
Listen to My Voice
When I talk to my kids, I say, “Listen to my voice,” because I’m training them to recognize it and obey it. In the middle of the cacophony of voices, I need them to hear mine:
-
When we are enjoying others’ company, and their friends are clamoring for their focus, I want to be the one to have their attention at a moment’s notice.
-
If their sibling or friend is trying to tempt them, I want my kids to instead obey the words of life I am speaking to them.
-
When the voices of strangers are distracting, I need them to pick out my voice above the crowd and follow it.
David taught Solomon to treat his voice with utmost importance (Proverbs 4:3-4), and Solomon did the same with his son. So when mama lays down the law, you best do it, boy! Hey, I’m just following Solomon’s lead.
Hear, my son, your father’s instruction And do not forsake your mother’s teaching. Proverbs 1:8 NASB
In the same way, our Heavenly Father is calling us to know His voice to obey it.

The following is from a blog that I came across today. It talks about being obedient to the voice of God and doing what God tells us to do. Are we will ban the voice of God? My prayer:
There were a lot of little things to be grateful for today God. Thank you for every blessing and thank you for every thing you protected me from. I am ready for some rest time. Life is pretty exhausting right now. I need you more than ever.
What God Said Tonight:
Come and rest.
There are things to do, to learn, to experience, but not right now. right now, lay your head on my chest and close your eyes. I will keep a watch out and keep you safe. I will make sure that you awaken in time for the next big thing.
Just relax and rest in me. There is not a single thing for you to worry about or to do until I wake you.
