Great and might is the Lord our God.
Life sometimes gives us problems and situations that make us realize how much more we need God more than ever.
Without God, we can do nothing.
With God, we can do anything that we set out to do.
We need to realize that God is our source and that God gives us the ability to do anything that we might face.
If we put God first in our lives, God will supernaturally take care of our needs.
Matthew 6-33
- But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.
The word first is speaking of our priorities.
What is important to us?
If we are going to succeed, God must be number one.
God and His kingdom should always come first in our priorities, and when they are, He supernaturally takes care of all the natural things we need.
There are things that we have to focus on that are earthly; however, they should never be our priority. We should never place something above God.
Some people place their careers above everything.
They think staying at the office another two or three hours a day is going to make them more successful. I realize that God wants us to give our very best. However, he doesn’t want us to neglect our families and our time with him.
God does want us to give our very best in the things that we do in life.
John 15:5
- I am the vine, ye are the branches: He that abideth in me, and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit: for without me ye can do nothing.
I love the Scripture there that says that we can do nothing without Jesus.
Real success comes only by abiding in Jesus. The word says if we abide in him that he would abide in us, and we would have much fruit.
