Good morning on this Friday morning August 10, 2018. If we want to be successful in life as children of God, we must put God first. What does it mean to put God first? We all have different ideas, based upon our life experience. But I believe one of the first things that we do we put God first, is that his word is always first place in our heart and our mind. Were mindful of the things of the word of God. One example, is how do we treat others? Sometimes, people don’t always treat us in the best of ways. However, as children of God we have to be the ones to set the example and share the love of God with them, even when they’re not treating this well or others.
The Bible says to love your enemies and to speak well of them which despitefully use you.
Love for enemies is in the first place based in the character of God. Jesus says: Love your enemies … so that you may be children of your Father in heaven; for he makes his sun to rise on the evil and on the good … be perfect therefore, as your heavenly Father is perfect. [Matthew 5:44-48]
Love your enemies, in other words, because that is exactly what God does. He showers his providential care upon those who love him and upon those who ignore and even hate him. They receive his kindness, whether they regard him or not. A special sun does not shine on those who love God, leaving all the God-haters in deep darkness. It shines alike on all.
Jesus might have gone on to speak of God’s redemptive love, too. In Romans 5, Paul speaks of God’s particular love for us in that “while we were still his enemies” Christ died for the ungodly. The death of Jesus was the ultimate act of enemy love. He offered himself not while we were in the midst of turning to him, or because we had somehow shown that we had a spark of love for him.
On the contrary. That’s the love of the pagans, says Jesus, to love those who love you. Who doesn’t?
And so, here’s the central thing about enemy love. We love our enemies because as enemies we were loved.

I know this is difficult, but no matter what somebody does to us according to the word of God we are supposed to love them with all of our heart. What happens if we fail to love somebody?
I truly believe that if we hold hatred and unforgiveness in our heart, poison goes through her body and we are unable to be used by God. I believe that if we have unforgiveness and hatred in our body towards somebody, this blocks the promises of God.
Many people say they love God, that they hate their neighbor. In first John 4 – 20, the word of God says if a man say, I love of God, and hated his brother, he is a liar: for he that loveth not his brother whom he have seen, how can he love God whom he hath not seen? And verse 21, the word of God says in this is the commandment have we from him, that he who love of God love his brother also.
Sometimes you have to love people by faith. You don’t have to spend a lot of time with somebody, you just simply have to love them.
I pray today that you have a fantastic day and we are praying for you. God bless you my friends. Until the next time.
