Good morning November 25, 2018.
Is am reflecting this morning about the things of God. I realize that he is the only true thing in my life that has ever has been 100% for me.
God’s love for us is so real and it is so genuine. If I was to put in it in a real way, I would say that it’s. It’s sincere and honest.
You and I today must accept this love that God has for us. We are his children.
Let’s look at Colossians 3 – choose 1 – 2, the word of God says if ye then be risen with Christ, seek those things which are above, where Christ set us on the right hand of God. Set your affection on things above, not on things on the earth.
For me that is such a powerful Scripture. It’s a mighty Scripture from the word of God.
Are we able to comprehend just that one Scripture that God is trying to tell us today?
When in you and I have experience different issues in our life, how do we deal with them?
God truly wants us to rely on him and know that he is our source he is our sufficiency. I know that sometimes God will work through people. However, God wants to be the one that gets the glory and the honor, because he is our source, even though he is working through an individual.
Sometimes people may question, is God real? From my perspective, I can understand why somebody who has had a lot of bad experiences in our life, why with God allow me to go through what I went through.
Some of you have been through some really difficult times in your life, some may have had sexual abuse, physical abuse and emotional abuse, from other people. You may say or how what a good God allow this to happen?
I want to look at another Scripture, John 10 – 10, the thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to the story: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly.
The thing we must understand that just as there’s a God, there’s an adversary that wants to see you dad he wants to see your life in shambles.
He wants to render you useless, where you don’t think your and able to do anything for anybody. He wants you to think that you’re a nobody. But I’ll tell you today, that you are somebody in Jesus Christ. You are a winner.
When you look at healing in the Bible, some of the questions that we have to ask ourselves is, what does the Bible say about healing?
I want to touch on one of the examples of healing, in the word, had to do with the woman with an issue of blood for 12 years.
She spent all her money that she had, and she got worse. I totally understand that God will work through her doctor. Sometimes God doesn’t need a doctor, sometimes he’ll just manifest that himself to us in a way where he does it on his own.
Jesus heals the women with the issue of blood
Luke 8:43-48
43 And a woman having an issue of blood twelve years, which had spent all her living upon physicians, neither could be healed of any, – she tried something in the natural, but only God was able to change her circumstances.
44 Came behind him, and touched the border of his garment: and immediately her issue of blood stanched. The word stance means to stop.
45 And Jesus said, Who touched me? When all denied, Peter and they that were with him said, Master, the multitude throng thee and press thee, and sayest thou, Who touched me?
46 And Jesus said, Somebody hath touched me: for I perceive that virtue is gone out of me.
47 And when the woman saw that she was not hid, she came trembling, and falling down before him, she declared unto him before all the people for what cause she had touched him, and how she was healed immediately.
48 And he said unto her, Daughter, be of good comfort: thy faith hath made thee whole; go in peace.
How life changing this must have been for her. She probably got used to the fact she was bleeding. She probably hit rock bottom. Doctors and the experts are limited. We are not to limit God. If God does it, he does it completely.
Don’t accept things in the natural if they are contrary to the word of God. Sometimes our circumstances never change in the natural, and we accept things at face value.
Sometimes we get comfortable in the sense with our natural circumstances. We need to start to do things in a different way if we want our circumstances to change.
If were experiencing something contrary to the word of God, we need to go to the word of God and see what the word says regarding our circumstances.
Are other people enabling us? Are people not telling us the truth, because maybe they have a lack of understanding of God’s best?
I hear people sometimes say this statement. You never know what God is going to do. However, just because somebody says something makes it true.
If I told you there was no God would you believe me? You would not believe me. However, I said it.
Why are there so many people who really don’t know Gods promises? They are destroyed for a lack of knowledge.
This woman who had the issue of blood for 12 years, must’ve really thought many times to give up. She must have thought, why am I been trying for.
Every day I get up in I’m faced with this issue of blood. I’m sure must’ve been aggravating and probably even embarrassing.
I know sometimes that we deal with things in our life that appeared not to change, day by day. However we have the promises of God available to us.
Are we really believing God with all our heart?
